To battle against micro-enemy, the case of an hotel, Minakamikan
Minakami Hot Spring Resort is near the source of one of the biggest rivers in Japan, the Tone River, surrounded by a rich natural environment. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful surroundings all year round. Minakamikan Hotel is located on the Tone River, and it commands a splendid view of Tanigawadake Mountain.

The SaniCom System was introduced to this hotel three years ago, the year after the terrible accident of O-157 in Wakayama. Now, three systems are operating in the kitchen of the hotel.

The systems are programmed to operate once during night time, so there is no labour in using them. The only task required is to refill KX-1 chemicals once or twice a week.

The kitchen works for maximum of 520 visitors a day. "We have been very careful about the hygienic environment of the kitchen and about workers", adding to this, "we rely on the effect of SaniCom System for tackling invisible germs," says the chef of the Hotel.

The hotel introduced SaniCom System with an article of newspaper as a start. "I've gathered as much information of hygiene management as possible for long time, and one day I found an article about SaniCom System in a newspaper," said Mr.Kimura, the President of the hotel. "The first point why I decided to use this system is that I considered the small KX-1 chemicals can remove many kinds of bacteria far better than handiwork. Data of bacteria removal and safety of the chemical are important points, too. After introducing, we found it convenient to use this system thanks to its timer. We do almost nothing to use the system."
